Our First Christmas Tree

We ripped off most of the stuff from decorations her mom did not use. For some reason of all the stuff we have carted back from VA we still have not brought back my Christmas box. But I think that Britt did a stellar job with what she could round up in a few short hours.

Mom's So Proud

It was quite the occasion in getting this picture. Most of you have known for sometime that Britt would be graduating, but few people heard, unless you were there the ordeal it was just getting to Britt's graduation a few weeks ago. So if you are ever in the mood for a long, but exciting story, ask Britt about; cleaning at 4 am, losing my suit, the several inches of ice then snow, the death march to the Spectrum, and the roller coaster of getting out of town. All in all let's just say Britt is glad to be graduated.

Enterprise in the Oil Patch

The guy to my right in the picture is my boss, Brian. We are in sort of a niche market out here in Vernal, catering mostly to oil field related companies. Brian thought a special picture was necessary to send out as a Christmas E-mail. This is what we sent out to all of the Enterprise Employees in our group. Thought you all might like to see it. Remember, safety is no accident!

Posts to Come

For all you faithful followers and passers-by alike, we will be getting our own computer next week. We will no longer need to make trips to the library or bum laptops from family & friends. Since we blogged last we have moved, set up our new apartment (I mean room), set up Britt's Art Classroom at Ashley Elementary, we visited Temple Square for the MOTAB performance and on a separate occasion to see the lights. I also started at the Enterprise location here in the Vernal Airport. It has been quite fun. Britt also graduated this last Saturday from USU. Since then she has been sewing me a stocking and backing our duvet cover that she started before her mission. We are happy that for the most part her morning sickness, that generally came in the afternoon/evening, has subsided. We have pictures for most of these events, we are just waiting for our new Dell to arrive. In the meantime we are so excited for Christmas to come. We bought our first Christmas tree which Britt decorated in White and Red, using some of the trimmings from our wedding last year.

Coming June 18th...

For those that can't make out the picture and for those of you who do not follow my sister's blog. Brittany is Pregnant! Her family found out a few weeks back as she was stricken with morning sickness the three days we went to visit. As for my parents we took this picture and sent it priority mail, with nothing else enclosed. You should have heard my mom's voicemail!

As for the baby, we know rather little as yesterday was our first doctor's appointmtent. We do know that we are estatic! How Blessed we are and how we can't wait for this summer!!!

Lubbock Christian, Here We Come...

We found out this morning that I was accepted at Lubbock Christian University to start my Master's in Divinty in order to become a Navy Chaplain. Britt & I are so excited that we have made a step in that direction. We will actually be moving to Vernal for a time, where I will start my master's program online and Britt will teach school. So it's more like Vernal, here we come.

Bear 100

Well, to make a long story short, I did pace some one at the Bear 100. Rather than pacing my buddy Brian, I paced Davey Crocket. On my watch (clockwise from the top left) The Date, Calories Burned, Time Elapsed, and Distance.

Well to start of our road trip to VA, we got to Vernal at 2 AM. Upon arrival we heard some water leaking, come to find out there was a pipe that had leaked over two feet of water into the old cellar. There were spiders,a ton of water, all in a little space. Good thing I have a little plumber gene in me. Thanks Dad.

Went to a Double Header with fireworks along with Meesh and her folks. The games struggled, I thinke the #4 batter from the Bee's was sub .300.

Squaw Peak - Year of the Mud

Well different years have been known for different things, but this year certainly was muddy. Took me two hours longer than last to get over the finish, but it was fun. I love running in the mud!!!

The Overlook

The day before the Squaw Peak 50, Britt and I, went to the Squaw Peak Overlook to check out the view of Provo & Orem. Sure was a nice day.

This weekend is the Squaw Peak 50 which means Britt & I will be in Provo. It starts and finishes in Vivian Park, I will be coming across the finish line sometime between 3 - 5 PM. Kind of hard to pinpoint exactly when I will finish but you can check www.squawpeak50.com for live updates.

After fininding out how expensive an ice cream cake was, Britt decided to make me one!!! We had another couple over to celebrate my birthday and they could not get enough!!!

Not Meant to Be...

Well as I said on Monday, I was planning on running 50 miles on Sat. Sadly, I was unable to finish the race. I dropped at 20+ miles due to some complications. None of them related to me being in the hospital on the Thursday before the race or the Sunday after!!! All is well now and I have my eyes set on my next 50 in June down in Provo.

DNF

This is my first DNF, or in other words the first race that Did Not Finish!!! Sad Day, but I was just too dehydrated from being sick earlier in the week. I was also kind of achy before I was 10 miles into the race. This is a pic that Britt took at the start.

Antelope Island Ultra - This Weekend!!!

The funds have been low this year and I haven't had the equipment for back country boarding, so I strapped in and headed down Ol Main one the west side of USU Campus. It had been pretty beaten up by sleds, but it was still fun.

In the Begining...

 
Well I moved into the apartment where Britt and I will be living in once we are married. Like all apartments we are amking it our own. I decided to start with the view from our front door. We had an army crate, some vases, dried out plants and some old shoes. There was something missing, so I added the sage purse and the shoe brush. The part I like the most is that Britt made the vases!!!
