First Bath

He did not cry to much after being born, but certainly did not care for his first bath. Can we say, traumatic!

Practice Pushing!

I ask Britt after a few contractions, how it was going to look when she started pushing. She said, "Something like this!" For the most part she was able to keep a pretty good sense of humor for the whole delivery. Thank you, Epideral!

Blind Contour

Just wanted to show off some of the artwork of Britt's Students. This is a blind contour, the students cannot look down at the paper or pick up the pen. They had to remain focused on the person in front of them... and that is pen! What a good little art teacher and soon to be mom we have!

Tom the Turkey

Well I didn't harvest a turkey this year, but the few times we went out they were fun. All I have to say about not getting a turkey is; 'Thanks, Sis Larson.'

Cougar Kill

Okay, I don't know for sure but there was still flesh on the skull and it was just outside a cave! It was just up a little slot canyon where I saw some cougar tracks in the winter.

Turkey Tracks

While everbody else is looking for turkeys down in the canyon... I found them!!! They are still up on the mountain playing in the snow! Can't wait for my turn... I think that I am going to try and harvest one with my bow. Okay, not the bow that I have now because I don't have one, but I will soon!

No Sheds

I have seen plenty of Elk, but no sheds. I saw two tonight and four in almost the same spot last night. I was tried to hold the dog still while I was focusing in, in the mean time the Elk decided to move.

Hard at Work

Apparently we have a lot of spare time in Vernal. A few weeks back we went and had these hard hats made. They get quite the reaction from people when they are getting off the plane. Brian almost never takes his off. For those familiar with oil field terminology his hat on the back says, 'Company Man' and mine says, 'Worm.' Those are terms for the highest and lowest man on the totem pole, respectively.

Fierce Competition

Well friends and family, there is a fierce competition going on and I am not going to lay down easy! You see at the same time I decided to start Basin Shuttle, two other companies have decided to make a go at taking people to Salt Lake. While I am not afraid of what will happen, I want to hedge my odds as much as possible. Here is where you can help! Before Vernal Shuttle (the comeptition) changed their website, when you did a google search for Vernal or Basin Shuttle, either way my site came up first. Now when you type in Vernal Shuttle, I come up second or not at all. One way to fix this is to get people to link to you. So any of you that have extra space on some side bar on your blog or site, a link would be appreciated. www.basinshuttle.com

Silencing Christians

Britt and I watched this program after listening to it being presented on the American Conservative University Podcast. The program is an hour long, but we would encourage you find time within the next week to watch it.
